Excellent shots, Steve! Specially I like the first one.

One that one, the perpendicular lines add a lot to the complexity of the image. At the same time, it is such a simple composition. Very sharp and clean cut!

I would like to see more detail on the "doornub" which is kind of too dark right now. Also, you may want to take care of the "thing" on the floor on the right bottom corner of the picture.

    Cheers!

i really like the first one.loving the different grains in the wood and the juxtaposition of the sledge hammer and its shadow breaks up all the straight lines.great image
your second image doesn't really work for me.but then i do have a thing for b&w photos

I also love the first 1 - I think the 3 directions of the floor/wall & door boards gives it more life than the other 1 for me.

I thought you were talking about "Thor" from the movie Blue THunder for a sec there (another good movie); Tactical Helicopter Offensive Response.

Thank you all. I am inclined toward the first also.

    No, God will do....

The big hammer is symbolic. I was a mechanical engineer once upon a time.

    Re: Sheds & Hammers

I thought the first one was a picture of a door and its "emergency key"

Yes, prefer the first, but agree with Ali that the thing on the floor bottom right shouldn't be there and perhaps also the shadow on left should go too.

    Cheers,
