This immediately suggested a contre Jour treatment. Perhaps not to every one's taste so C&C very welcome. Best as a whole in Light box.

If I were those guys I'd turn back, too far. Nice concept, I think it works just as well if you crop to the right hand railing.

I quite agree, John. The contrast within contrasts really amplifies the foreboding figures , and you captured multiple leading lines toward them. Well sighted and conceived.

Absolutely to my taste. Line, Shape, Tone & Texture. Ticks all the boxes.

I looked at it for a while and really liking, but wondering why I was feeling there was something that wasn't completely hitting the button for me. I hope you don't mind, but the best way of illustrating what I think it was (and this is for me and might not be liked by anyone else) is to show you. It was that the building and the two guys were just a bit too dark. I was straining to more easily see a bit more detail in them. So ......................

Go into the Lightbox and toggle to and fro between the two

Thanks for the comments so far all. Donald, I can see what you mean and I definitely agree that the figures benefit from more detail. Not so sure about the building. It needs something to hold the comp in top left and a bit weight does that. However, the overall vignette is a bit heavy and so I have lightened some of the building but not all of it - re-edited version below. What do you think?
