    Nice Brian, I love the contrast between the B&W butterfly and the vivid colour of the red flower

    Now if you had chosen a higher shutter speed, that would have frozen the wing movement.

    And would have introduced other issues (shallower DoF or higher ISO)

    Luck is the key word here. I was shooting a different shot when this lady flew past me and hovered at the flower. I only had time for one quick shot before she left. For a largish butte fly they move quickly.

    If I had been at a slightly different angle her red spotted body would have matched the flower beautifully.

    If i am going to miss the mark it might as well be a really hard mark to hit.
