    Raven at 15 weeks

Haven't posted a picture of Raven in a bit. She's now 15 weeks and 20 pounds...and a wild child. She's teething, so her nickname is "Sharkie"!

Nicely captured. Did you read the following thread? To Richard

Curious what attracted you to Raven and how old was she when you received her?

Hi John. Thanks for sharing that thread with me as I had not seen it. Rather interesting. I have heard that as well; and that it was applicable to cats and dogs. I'm not superstitious, so black animals have never bothered me; I have always wanted a black Standard poodle...and now I have one since I am no longer part of Corporate America. :-)

She was 8 weeks when she came to live with us.

    Kim,

Would be interesting to see if the bias applies to children, I know one of my first pets was a cocker spaniel with black coat and white trim. Didn't matter one bit the color as all puppies are devilishly cute and charming.

IMO, Raven is an absolutely handsome gal! Although I work mostly with white dogs and my Doodle is a light buff color, I love black dogs and cats.

We have two feral barn cats one of whom is tortoise and the other is a coal black. The black one is very shy and has only lately ventured out of her hiding place (a bed on one of the garage shelves) because we have finally found a food (after multiple tries with different brands) that she likes. For a while, all that I say were two shining eyes in the shadows back of the shelf. She has an absolutely beautiful shiny black coat. I will get a picture of her soon after she gets a bit braver,

I do not miss those teething days, my dog would leave my hands bloodied from her little piranha teeth.
Love the look of your dog...there's an intelligence in there that will challenge you for years...until she's fully trained you.

So there's hope Jack that some day my arms will not be covered in little scabs? She's already challenging me Jack as she's smart but stubborn.
