*** Wanted *** - A few good men or women!

For the month of July I'm thinking of doing a PAD (Photography shorthand for a "Photo-a-Day") - ie every day I take a photo - process it - and post it. Nothing too difficult, but requiring a bit of dedication all the same, and ...

... I was wondering who would like to join me? (would be great to get a total of about 10 of us).

I'm not thinking of any theme - just a shot from a part of each of our day, along with a few words to tie it all together - so perhaps a bit like a "photo diary" for the month.

Any takers?

I'll tentatively put my hand up for this, as it might get me out with the camera again. Lately, I seem to spend more time in front of the laptop monitor than behind the lens. Remind us again at the end of June. :)

Good idea Colin. Something I've had at the back of my mind for some time. Only problem is that July may be a bit tricky, one of my sons is getting married in July so will be away for stag weekend and the actual wedding but if I'm allowed to catch up on the processing/posting side then count me in.

I'm not sure if I can do one every single day, but I'll certainly try. I think this is good for me, and al others to get encouraged to shoot some more, since other interest sometimes grow bigger than photography.

I have thought about this when I have seen these people doing the 365 thing on other forums. It probably would not be a bad thing for me since it would force me to take the camera out of the bag and think rather than siting around waiting for lady inspiration to make me an offer I can't refuse. I might have a go at this.

I'm in: great idea, Colin. As others have said, I've been trying to get my camera out more regularly, trying to get that familiarity that makes even unusual settings or situations automatic. This will be good discipline.

interesting idea! I've not come across it before. I agree with some of the other cooments, it would be good discipline. If theres still room on the combatants , sorry,participants list :-) list then I'm up for it.

Hi Guys & Gals,

Sorry that I've "abandoned you all" on this for a few days -- since the beginning of the next month is still a couple of weeks away I've been letting the idea permeate a bit. Dave raised the possibility of 30 x 10 x a few replies to each being a bit much ... so what I'll do is create a PAD thread for each and every participant, alone with a seperate gallery for each person (unless people want to use their own) -- just so we can point people to an entire collection of someones PAD shots without the distraction of comments. It's a wee bit clunky, but it's the best I can come up with.

OK, Boss. Count me in. Sounds a good idea. I tried a 365 last year, but it got too much. A month is much better.
