First time exhibiting prints

Okay, it's only our little village hall, but this weekend (May 2nd & 3rd) will see me exhibiting my prints for the first time ever. Up to now, public consumption of my work has been via this forum and social media. But I'm now into printing and am keen to show off some prints in public places.

So, it was all excitement this afternoon as we set things up. This is the first time we've ever done this in the village. It's all local artists who are featured.

Originally, William, Mark, who's organising it, said 6. But then came back and said 'You can put in more'. So I think most folks have between 6 & 9.

I have a 9th which is on show, but not for sale. It's the last 'proper' picture that features my dear Sheila who died on 31st December 2014. I wanted people to see it, but it's not for sale. It's on an easel at the other end of the room from these 8.

I like the way the pics are framed. I'm just about at the point where I want to print and frame some of mine for display and that is exactly the look I want. If you don't mind - what is the width of the frames and what is the matting dimensions? Is the matting the same for all of them? If so, why did you choose to keep it constant? Thank you.

I don't know the exact dimensions, as I didn't do the matting and framing. But if you proceed on the basis that what you are looking at are 8" x 8"; 8" x 10", 14" x 10" and 16" x 9", you'll be able to guess pretty accurately the width/depth of the mount. The frmae itselgf is, I seem to remember, 20mm.

Is the matting the same for all of them? Yes. Why? Just for the very point you make - to be consistent.

Whenever I exhibit, and it's not often, my pictures simply have a caption, but I remain anonymous. If by looking at my pictures I've given someone some enjoyment then that's all that matters to me.
