    Thank you Rob.
The "treatment" gave me some work as I had to align the shapes.

I am pleasantly surprised how much good pictures show up in this tread in such a short time

This picture was taken at a shutdown coking plant in germany. Today it is a museum.

Thank you, Lui. My original comment in post #14 was

It's funny but I've shown that shot to several people and they all love it. I have a down on it as it was taken in my mother-in-law's house!!! A case of artistic vision being obscured by prejudice?
And it's true. I know, deep down, it's good shot, but I just associate it with some unhappy memories, and for that reason I don't personally like it. Strange world, isn't it? Perhaps it demonstrates the power of photography upon our emotions.

Yes, I agree with that - some very good shots from a good range of members. I think it's because reflection shots, by their nature, have an artistic look. Although they may be of ordinary subjects the reflection renders each one unique and interesting.

    Reflections - Lisbon Portugal

The first image I post is a reflection in spite of looking otherwise. And this is the reason why I am posting it's original.
The water is so still that we can hardly notice and ripples on the surface. The image was obviously 180 degrees rotated
It was shot in the Mãe de Água (Mother of Water) in Lisbon.
