Barbara. I've been looking at my cormorant pictures, but they are all too distant, or against the light, to be able to see what colour their eyes are. What sort of cormorant are those you have there? We have the Great Cormorant, mostly on the coast, but often inland; and the Shag which is strictly coastal, and is often seen in vast numbers - several thousand in a raft. I don't think your birds are either of these.

John, we have 2 types here, Neotropic and the Double Crested. The differences in them are very slight so I am not sure which this one is.

I did a google search on these two, and I'm pretty sure it is a Neotropical Cormorrant.
