Landscapes

[Admin Edit]: This thread grew so large that it was becoming very slow to load for a lot of people - so we've moved the first several hundred posts to an archive thread that you can view here]

The thread was started by CiC member Antonio Correia. It evolved into a part of CiC where people could post images that they didn’t choose to post for comment and criticism in a new thread.

So, there are options for where people can post what we would recognise as landscape images. Either create a new thread in the ‘Nature & Architecture’ section of the site, or post your image here.

It should be noted that the high volume of posts in this thread can make it slower to access and for that reason some members may choose not to visit it.

The comments that Antonio made in the start-up post included:

There are only a few guide lines I kindly ask you to follow when you post your images:

1. The place where the photography was taken should be identified.

2. One image by entry only. (this will allow us to comment. However, on commenting you can post more images to demonstrate what and how you do, why, etc.)

3. The author can - should - add comments to his/her own picture.

4. The image can also be of a town or part of it or even a beach.

Thanks for the comments! That picture was taken in one of the most famous places on earth. Can anybody guess????? Hint-It is in the USA but much better viewed from the Canadian side!

Antonio I haven't been there but is it the Iguazu Falls in Brazil ?

Well, the water falls are not exactly in Brazil because they are just in the border. We had to go to the Argentina to see them.

Yes I do like waterfalls. It's interesting that the Victoria Falls are regarded as one of the seven natural wonders of the world however from what I've read, the Iguazu Falls are regarded by some as the most spectacular in the world.

You know David, we have travelling a bit around here on Earth :) and our opinion is that - often - the so called icons, and I mean whatever they are, water falls, forest, parks etc and I will not name any, are sometimes great mythes.

I mean, under our point of view they are not so nice as everybody says.
In fact, all depends of your scale, where you start from. What you have seen before.:)

But we have seen gorgeous places :)

I knew some people from New Zealand that came to Niagara Falls and they thought that it was in the middle of a field. Not right next to a street
