    HDR Efex PRO Version 1

I have just tried using the ORIGINAL version of HDR Efex Pro as supplied by NIK Software to me some 4 years ago.

Lo and behold it is now advising me that my thirty day trial has expired ... This happened yesterday.

I have contacted GOOGLE the giant in the sky to be advised that they have taken down the activation server and that this program will not run on MAC Os X 1-.8 or higher. I have used it under MAVERICKS (10.9).

Can any advise me of a work around.. or how to contact GOOGLE NIKCOlLECTION by phone to resolve.

    Thanks

I have never used HDR Efex and don't know its version history. But, if it's the same or similar to Silver Efex Pro, the issue may well be, with Google, that it never actually owned Version 1. Certainly Silver Efex Pro 2 was out there before Google bought over NIK. Don't know if the same applies re HDR Efex 1

Are you certain that you tried it during Google's hours of operation? If not, that might be the explanation. EDIT: I just now tried it and the button is operating properly.

Mike tried it many times. No button. I have checked timings. Looks like it's unavailable to me. I am still trying though. The British bull dog in me !

If your affairs with google don't go so well as you hoped, and you wish not to devote anymore time to the matter, try Picturnaut HDR software. It is free, and easy, and if you are new to HDR you should be as content with it as I was. Just an idea!

Yes just booted up an old Mac with HDR Efex v1 on it and can confirm it predates Google ownership. 2011 was the last version.
