    D7200 rlease tmorrow

    Looking at the spec no need to trade in the D7100 then

    That looks not really exciting. Even if I were in the market to upgrade my DSLR, I think it would be wise to wait until we can get cameras that are not limited by things like poor high ISO and limiting buffer, and have all the desirable physical and computer features you'd want. At this point, I'm not particularly envious of another camera (I have the D7100) that is just a wee bit better, when they are relatively the same. As I suppose technology is not the limiting factor at this point, It looks like it may be a marketing strategy to me.

    I doubt very much that any manufacturer whether it be camera, car or washing machine expects consumers to trade in a very similar model based on 'need' simply because they have produced a revamp/upgrade.

    As I said

    I have the D7100 and have no intention of changing it for a "same" camera

    I have a D7100 and a Fuji X. Fuji have given away more than the meagre different between these two cameras as a free firmware upgrade. I'm surprised they bothered. This is bound to be criticised to Nikon's disadvantage.
