    Canon M remote

One of the things lacking on the M (but corrected in the M2 - not on sale except Japan) is the lack of a remote release other than the close range in front of camera IR release.

However playing with my recent Yongnuo YN622C TX controler which has a remote release facility included there is a note in the usual oddly translated instructions that cameras released since 2012 don't need the cable release, ie. one can release through the hotshoe. On testing this is indeed the case, albeit with a delay in the triggering.

Even better by setting the flash groups one can set it up so flash is triggered by the camera shutter rather than the YN622C transciever unit.

Now does anyone know of a remote release designed to operate through the hotshoe?

Have you tried asking your best friend, Mr. Google? I just did and found one at B&H but it is coming soon as it says.
