This spider was really tiny! Couldn't get any closer.Time to look at using tubes or get an MP-E65.

That's an amazing shot, Jim. The patterning on the abdomen is unbelievable. I take it the apparently disconnected bits of thread are pieces of web that are within the depth of field?

Yes it's the web you're seeing.My flash was camera right and should have been positioned more towards the top of the lens. I would have picked up more web detail near the center.
