nice, interesting effect and when you work out how you did it, it will be very worth playing with using different images to work on the effect

i found it -- in GIMP Filters -> Map -> Fractal Trace I'm thinking that might make a nice Metal Print

It's good to see one of GIMP's more unusual facilities do something nice. I periodically try some of them but there are a lot to choose from and often I wonder why some one bothered writing it. I'd guess in many cases it was some graphic artist that wanted to do something specific and often a bit bizarre in my view. It has a number of very useful facilities if people take the time to find them.
