The schoolchildren were in a row being led by the teachers to a big function we had here this week, the girls would have been interested in that big camera I was holding, the boys were being boys

What a catch, Grahame! Makes me smile too at the expressions of their faces, especially the lead girl and one of the boys at the back. If you were here, taking a photo of kids even having fun will be a no-no.

I understand the problems of photographing kids and can respect these concerns. Fortunately it is a concern that is never voiced here in the media or in any discussion I have had.

Hopefully it will stay that way so when grabbing a shot such as this it is fully acceptable.

One problem I do get is that often when out with the camera I'm approached and people ask for their picture to be taken and it has happened a couple of times when I'm set up on the tripod, low light long exposure scenario
