Do you want an honest opinion

It is a photo of trees, no point of interest

    Personally try it in MONO

Fair enough Jeremy and I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks for taking the time to have a go at the image.

I will give it a go in B&W and see what I think.

Hi Jim, I'm not sure that monochrome would make a significant difference. As Jeremy points out, there isn't a focal point.

Picture this scene with a red canoe, a guy and his young daughter fishing, and the trees with those beautiful reflections as the background. The difference is that the trees like these can complement a subject very nicely, but many identical objects, like the trees in this scene, don't give your eye a place to rest and explore. Hope this helps!

    Thanks Frank for the comment.

Just a beautiful fall day Sunday at a local nature preserve. No people, no boats and no one fishing. Just nature.

Was hoping one of the beavers would pass by and make a v wake in the reflection but no luck.

Sorry JR1, don't find much value in your feedback now that I know you you are.

Hi Jim...there is something to be said about being alone in a place like this -- a resting place. The reflections is a good start to look here and as your title went -- white trees. Maybe the reflection of the trees caught your eyes here. You've achieved your goal here to capture that.

Don't be discouraged Jim, this scene has a lot going for it. The more I look at this image, the more I appreciate the colors, patterns, and technical accuracy of the capture.

Well I think its a great image, it could work well as an abstract shot. Its aesthetically pleasing to me which I don't think JR1 gets judging by some of his comments I've read. He sees photography as a science (which is fine) rather than art.

I think he might be right about the monochrome though.

    Give it a go Jim.
