    When I saw your title, I thought you were talking about airplanes...I didn't know there was a such a term on motocross racing...now my question -- ARe #1 and #2 a composite? All good captures...

    I shoot moto x and these are A1, contrast, colour etc spot on, try converting to mono

    Izzie !!!! composite - how dare you. These are all the result of experience, a quick eye and excellent technique .............plus a 6fps motor drive helped a bit. (I filled a memory card over just two races.) There is no such term in motorcross to my knowledge Izzie. Just me being ironic. I've discovered that , the first two laps before the contestants spread out too much, is the best time for shots like these. Seems to apply to most circuit sports.

    These guys were flying over the first jump which in a way puzzled me because for instance, I understand that skiers keep their air time down because otherwise they lose speed. Would have thought the same applied here??
