    Sigma 150-600 SPORTS

Just (yesterday) ordered the "S" version from LCE Plymouth, am told Delivery is about the end of November to tie in with the new 1.4 Sigma converters as well which will focus at f8 also on order with a dock

I can not understand a need for getting the cheaper "C" non weatherproofed version

    Can't wait

It is supposed to be lighter and more compact. The lightness if significant might appeal to a number of people. They seem to be referring to it as the Contemporary range so there may be more coming. I see no indication that it will be cheaper on the Sigma site.

HI Jeremy - I'm looking forward to reading about your thoughts on this lens, after you have had a chance to use it.

I moved this thread into "Digital Cameras & Equipment", which is probably a better fit for this topic.
