Seaworthy
This boat has been docked here for several months: it has never left harbour, and I have never seen anyone on it. This is a view of a section of the stern - it typifies the state of the whole vessel, and remarkably from my point of view, it is still afloat.
The image is a little softer than I would like, but the boat rides up and down on the swell, naturally, so there is some subject movement compounding my shaky hands.

Re: Seaworthy
Nice textures and nothing a bit of fibre glassing can't fix.

Re: Seaworthy
Interesting shot, Greg...like LPaul I like the textures shown in this and this shot is full of them in every nooks and corner. I also like the B/W treatment you did here, particularly like the rope and the shadow of the nail crossing a portion of it.

Re: Seaworthy
Nicely seen and captured. Judging by this example of the boat's condition I'd not leave the dock in it either

Re: Seaworthy
Thanks Paul, John, Izzie and Dan. The state of this boat fascinates me. I am still waiting for the right conditions - high tide, flat swell - to attempt a better shot.

Re: Seaworthy
I especially like this kind of shot that attends to a small detail. Well done and looking forward to the photograph of the ideal situation you're hoping to find.
