John -- I like #1 -- the smile on the face of the lamb is priceless. Even in the second shot, s/he is still smiling. What a beautiful countenance for your title...
Both are really nice but I prefer the second one because of the sense of family and the special framing provided by the trees in the bottom right and top left areas that have just the perfect amount of blur.
Both great shots but I really like the expression of the lamb on the first one. It looks very happy.
Lots of 'aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh' in this house when I showed them to my wife who really loves lambs.

Very nice captures.
I like #1 as well. Good exposure and even colors. Wonderful expression..
I like both of them, very nice
Great pictures =D I'm just curious, why they have their fleece painted? Is somekind of mark to recognize them?
Oh, and I almost forget.... Awwwwwwww *_*
These pics are why I love this time of year, new life.
number 1 is my favourite.
Great shots, John. That first one is mouth-wateringly good. In fact, I think I just decided what to have for tea tonight.
John, nice images. Very pastoral.
Greg, care to share some? I can trade some ground lamb and some lamb stew bones....
Marie
Thanks all for your comments. I must admit these are feel good images for me as well.
Pellegrino, I'm not sure what the markings are for. I am guessing, but it might be to link the mother to it's lambs but I don't know. Anyone know the answer?
As for the rest of you gluttons, don't forget the mint sauce!
