    Hi Bernard,

Nice images. I like the first for the setting which shows off the bird but i am especially fond of the 2nd image for the colours of the bird and grass, lighter exposure, composition, and the moment captured. (on the run) I like the brambles in the grass.

I like #1 Bernard...the royals hunt these for their dinner table, mate...be careful. They might shoot you instead...

    Re: Pheasant

    Thanks, Bernard.

We are knee deep in these birds around here, the ones that don't get blown to bits of course. We even have one that visits our garden most days. And you know what they say about familiarity., I don't even photograph them. I now realise I need to get out more - with camera of course,.

    Cheers,

    Dave

A couple of nice shots Bernard. Just been processing some similar images. Interesting comments from Dave. My experience is that they are most frustratingly shy up on the fell near here. They have this knack of not flying away so much as keeping their distance as you approach them - that distance being just outside of 300mm range for me.

    Nice pictures =D
My Grandpa had two pheasants in a big cage when I was a 4-5 years old, and since they were so colourful and I didn't like cages ... '-'
