    Wood Ducks

Another sign of spring when these guys come into the yard. Skittish devils though, they will leave at the twitch of a curtain, I did a belly slide along my deck for these shots.

Your slide was worth it. Great shots. I love the colour on wood ducks and you've manage to get some perfect shots of them.
I actually saw my first one for this year today. Got some shots of it but it was really far away so I don't know if they turned out.

What a lovely couple. Love the poses on them in the third shot. Nice job.

What a sly photographer you are...belly slide, huh? Anyway, they are a beautiful couple...No such luck seeing one this way. I hope if and when we move to Tennessee I might, will I?

Beautiful colors and lighting on the ducks, Ken. Wish you could tone down the bright grass.

Thanks for viewing guys and the comments. As for toning down the grass Ken, it's bad enough I have to mow the 2 1/2 acres every week.

The shots, other than a small crop for effect had no other PP.

They have their own Wood duck society (google) in Tennessee Issie. Plenty to go around.

Thanks KenW and N'Focus. Kyle Put your shot up here, I'd like to see it.

Good stalking. She's looking at him as though he did something wrong... or maybe she's indicating a silent question about the dude on his belly on the deck. I suppose the grass could be down a fraction of an EV, but I think they're nice as is.
