Gorgeous, beautifully balanced composition, colourwise as well. Good on the scoping

I like it Marie, nice image. I am envious since I have yet to capture this beautiful bird.

    Pania, thank you,

Joe! Hi! Mr. Birdman himself. You are not the only one who said that they had trouble photographing bluebirds. I wonder if having bluebird nesting boxes on site are the key. These guys are guarding their territory fearlessly, perching at different vantage points around the property, which is making getting pictures less difficult.

Good eye to see that composition and be prepared for when the image in your head came to life. It's a lovely image Marie and a joy to behold.

Thanks for your comment Terri. How are you doing?

Thanks, Shane, I saw him perching there before, but he flew off because he saw my movement in the house. I was hoping he would come back.

These are my favorite birds hands down. Great shot and, I suspect, one of many more.
FYI this link has good info on making bluebird houses, locating and maintaining them.
P.s. any good photos of (blue)birds I bookmark for future reference for carving them.

Thanks, Jack! I appreciated the link. It was interesting reading. I have a whole series of pictures on the wind spinner. He was checking his turf for intruders. If you want more pictures, I can post them within the next few days?

Love the background colours and overall composition. I am supprised nobody else has sugested desaturating the glob a bit. In terms of saturation it is dominating the photograph more than the bird.
