    My colorization files

I wanted to provide everyone the opportunity to take a look at my files I used to colorize my pictures. It's organized by the editor I used. The main photoshop folder contains some of my older stuff that I did before I perfected my workflow. There is a subfolder called elements 11 in that folder that contains the files I used in Elements.

Feel free to explore the files, I don't have a huge ego to keep these files as I'd love to see what others come up with on their own after seeing my work. I don't think my files are the end all be all, however, I'm providing the files of the way I did it. If you expand on it or take your own workflow path, please do. Everyone will and should develop their own.

The files include the source files for the editor and also images corresponding to them as I didn't name them according to their contents on some files.

Thank you for all the feedback while I was learning this process.

Wow, very nice work! Definitely reminiscent of period work I've seen, where black and white photos were hand tinted at the time of their creation. Definitely a lost art nowadays, but I really like the way you've captured that sense of attention to detail.

Nice, Jim! I did this kind of work when I first started in B&W photography almost 50 years ago. Like these, the results can be personally very rewarding.

Downloaded 'color120.xcf' and studied the detailed, intricate and extensive work that went into making that final image. Absolutely marvellous. A pleasure to both see the image that was created and the work that went into it.

And that was with a mouse! The elements 11 folder has the safari image that I recently did with my tablet. It's a very satisfying and relaxing pasttime that I enjoy. I'll be starting another image soon with more detail.

You have a great eye for colour particularly skin tones, and clearly the technique to apply it. Excellent work.
