Thread: Tenby reflections

  1. #1

    Tenby reflections

Shot yesterday at Tenby, West Wales. I just got the tide right to get these reflections - although I did get wet as the tide came in fast. The first one is just a shot of a reflection turned upside down - no fancy Photoshop or anything.

    C+C welcome.

Great reflections rob. The first one is sweet. I really like it alot. Something about the mild distortion from the wind that makes it so appealing.

#4 does, I think, provide a powerful tutorial/lesson to all of us striving for consistently good content balance in our images and ensuring we have appropriate interest in foreground, middle ground and background. Take away, partcularly, the ropes, but also those three tethering bouys at the right middle and we would have had a pretty uninteresting image. As it is ...

    A masterclass. Thanks Rob.

Hi Rob - I'll echo Donald's views - #4 is a cracker. It shows once again how distracting colour can be, especially when form and composition are to be brought out.

    Cheers

Beautiful shots. Ditto to the others--number 4 is great.

All are wonderful. 1 almost looks like a watercolor. I'll throw in for #4 too, but the shadows look a little blocked up to me, especially around the boat.

I know what you mean. I think it's the polariser I used. It seems to make the colours look very soft (in a good sort of way).

    Nice set Rob,

Really, really like these, 3 of my (long list of) favourite things - boats, water and reflections. Love those small fishing villages and BIG tides you have over there - must get back there one day and go to 'Doc Martin' Bay.
