I recently upgraded to PhotoShop Elements 7 from PSE-6. I'm extremely disappointed that the EXIF data is missing from the editor "file info" click. I'm thinking of returning to PSE6, as I don't see much of anything I use that I'll miss in the older version.
What (in your opinion) am I not taking into account in going "backwards?"

Other than that, I suspect many of the 'new' features in PSE7 are probably more to do with making life easy for some tasks that we might not do, or do another way, but then I haven't used both, so I'm guessing.

Interesting. I have version 5.6 installed on my PSE-6 on the master computer and it works fine. Adobe claims PSE-7 will work only with 5.5 Yet, they have instructions for installing 5.6 on PSE-7. hmmmmmmmmmThe most obvious thing I can think of is the ability with PSE to get beyond ACR 5.4

I will have to look into ACR 5.6 as I have PSE 6. According to Adobe I can't use anything newer than 5.5. Here is what Adobe's website shows:
