I got bored while waiting for the rainy weather to subside so I bought this lens inexpensively on eBay to use on my Sony A77 (150mm equiv.). I haven't done any true macro photography and thought it was time to learn. It's a bit more complicated than it looks at the outset. However, I snapped this photo this morning with the new lens. I upped the saturation slightly in PP.

Welcome to the world of macro! It's addictive, if you can manage the initial frustrations. Several of them have posted tutorials, and you can get excellent feedback there.

Thanks for reminding me of the Digital Grin web site. I haven't been there in months. It's a terrific site, especially since I use SmugMug to host my own web site. Yep, I have to review a lot of tutorials as I get into macro. I always like a learning challenge!
