I don't know anything about squirrels but could this be a crossbreed. Or do grey squirrels have red hair. They are all very fine images.

The grey squirrels around here have some red too. I also have a little red squirrel coming to the feeder that has a lot of grey, so who knows what they've been up to.

    Hi Arith
I am not sure what country you live in but in the UK Grey Squirrels were introduced into the country many years ago and took over the native Red Squirrel population which now only populate the north west of England, parts of Scotland and I believe the Isle of White too.
Most Grey Squirrels have a tinge of redness in their fur.

Cheers Keith; I live about 30 miles north of Coventry in Burton on Trent. There are squirrels around here and I saw one in the distance standing on its back feet on a bench looking at me; but mostly they disappear quick when I'm around.

LOL, Burton on Trent, about as exotic as Coventry .
I am often around the Burton Area, is there not a nature resrve just off the A38 near the Branston exit?

hey Keith I am not picking on you, but...
Can't say I have your talents but some time on the keyboard with the crop tool works wonders. Try a few and look away or have a coffee and come back an hour later! You may just see what I mean.
Also as in the last two bird shots, show me their eyes, somehow.
I am an Aussie so don't know the Brit birds but similar ones here are not easy to shoot either.
Am I allowed to copy your pics and do what I am suggesting? Have fun. Noel

Hi Noel, please do try and play with them, the light back over here has been miserable at best lately so I feel lucky I got as much detail as I did, and I tried to resist the danger over processing.
I have another post called "my lucky day" where a couple more sujects are shown, see what you think of those please.

    Hello,
The following were taken in South Lakeland Cumbria.
I understand that the grey squirrel carry's a decease that the red squirrel is not immune to
    and once infected dies.
This part of Cumbria at one time had many red squirrels, but now has only a few.

Hi David, yes I think that was the case in the UK too.

    Nice shots, like No 4.
