Do you know what type of card it has? there are downloadable recovery programmes available but can not recall the names but someone will.

SanDisk has a link to a program called Rescue Pro Deluxe. I had a similar event and it was able to recover files from a formatted disk. Of course in the process it recovered everything I previously deleted from years past.

    http://www.piriform.com/recuva

They're both free and they both work, even on formatted cards.

Of the two, ah prefer Recuva. There's several more free options on the web, just google "file recovery".

    Hi Nancy,

First and foremost - do not take any more photos on that memory card, please replace it in camera with another (if you haven't already).

The other replies above should help, but if more pictures were taken after the deletion, this may have corrupted some or all of the 'lost' images.

If the card wasn't used after deletion, your chances of recovery should be improved.

    Good luck,
