I'm not an abstract person but I think this is very creative and unique... It's kind of balanced and unbalanced, ie; symmetrical and non symmetrical at the same time, the different sized squares and positions of the shadows of the swings, and a different DOF in the last square? I've confused myself.

Thanks Christina. Don't be concerned about confusing yourself. I'm constantly confused even about my own images. All the things you state "It's kind of balanced and unbalanced, ..." is one of the things I like about the image. Thanks for commenting.

Thank you Karm, I'm also trying to learn by commenting on photos so it is nice to know that I was able to pick out some of the features in your photo as it means I am learning. My pleasure....

I really like this image! Symmetry without regimentation. Travel and change without motion. Fascinating the way it stimulates my mind; though certainly other users mileage may vary significantly.

If the shadows of the ropes suspending the swings weren't quite so obvious in the first panel, the swings might be seen as masks - particularly in the 3rd panel.

It is not easy to shoot shadows: I find the edges tend to be very blurry and can often spoil the affect you are seeking. Well done, Karm.

Andrew and John, appreciate both of you viewing and commenting. I always want to know what other people think about images such as Six Children's Swings. Obviously, I like it. While I take pictures and process them in a way that pleases me I also want other people to get something from them.

Thanks Footloose. I might have to play with your observation that they look a bit like masks.

Thanks georgem. I purposefully brought out the blue in the shadows to give it a bit of an "inky" look.
