    I have no idea what kind of flower this is - but we have some of them planted in an island in the parking lot. So anyway, I thought the colors were amazing, especially considering we live in a desert. Check it out - tell me what you think.

    It is a common flower here...it grows to big tree; but it has miniature breeds too. liked it... Here it is called Raajamalli, meaning Royal flower

    I do not think you need to follow the Rule of Thirds with subjects like this and a square format would be better... it may be heading to the right but that is not obvious to me so I don't see the need for it to be on the left third.
    Having a square format also gets rid of the competing white area top right.
