    Dress-up

Visiting the grandkids... Our 2 1/2 yo was so engrossed she didn't notice me pulling out a chair and hovering over her. Experimenting with high key, seems to enhance the softness of the scene. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Kevin. I think your high key development really makes this image. Nice work. I wonder a little bit whether including her red bead necklace enhances or distracts from the overall image.

I love the high key effect. IMO, high key needs a small area of dark within the image to contrast with the light areas and to make the effect not just over exposed or overly bright. I think that the green necklace provides the counter-point to the over-all brightness.

Really very nice. The high key treatment makes this but the red necklace does pull slightly.

    Re: Dress-up

Thanks much, gents. I appreciate the feedback.

Karm and John, I debated the inclusion of the red beeds but decided it helped balance the image, added a little color to what might become too washed out, and thought it contributed to communicating the mindset of a small child looking forward to her next addition.

Richard, I completely agree with some offsetting darker color. Are you thinking it might be good to enhance the green and red. Easily done, and I'll have a play with it.

    Thank you all.

Kevin...I might suggest that it takes a parent to really appreciate that image, as your granddaughter will when she displays it to her children.
