    Copper Moon

I had hiked up to around 12,000 ft. to photograph a waterfall in the High Country of Colorado.

I went out to say goodnight to the Mountains and saw a half moon setting on Copper Mountain.

    Goodbye warm comfy bed!

Had to wait another two hours to get this one!

An awesome day followed by a beautiful night!

Well worth a little loss of sleep!

My Thoughts and Prayers are with the flood victims of Colorado, USA.

Simply beautiful Terry...I am grateful you chose to delay the warm comfy bed so you could share this image with us!

I second that statement - Mother Nature offers up unspeakable life and beauty but her wrath can be devastating on so many different levels.

    Thank you Shane.

Mother Nature seems to always let us know who is boss.

This is the best of all possible combinations -- me sleeping in my comfy bed and waking up to see this gorgeous photo. Thanks for doing the hard work to make that happen.

    Thanks Mike!

After hiking 10 miles in altitude I am not used to, at a dead rise gradient of over 2700 ft, in the rain, dead tired, and sore, I was standing there at the tripod for two hours worried sick if you were all nice and toasty!

I was so sick with worry and pacing so hard I durn near missed the shot!

I appreciate you taking the time to let me know you are all right! I can’t tell you how relieved I am that you had a good night in a warm bed!

That is absolutely beautiful. Now I know what you mean by, " ...but sometimes it just about doing it".

I'd love to see it much larger. Can you re-post a bigger version?

I don't know what the big deal is...in SE Colorado I was able to drive to 12,000 feet. Took oxygen to CMA.

Since we are not sure what lies beyond death, our conclusions may not be right.... only when we also go behind the curtain of time we will know...or never know
