    Perfect night with Grandpa

Ice cream, grandpa, sunset, and giant bunnies. A little girl's memory.

Lovely photo. Warm in temp and sentiment. Love the silhouette and the sense of the child's awe.

Thanks, Ruby. That was the way I saw it as well, but it seems to have evoked very little response, good or bad. I'm a bit confused and would love to hear from others how they see this.

    Hi Kevin

It is indeed a creative piece and has a lovely sentiment.

Since you want critique on it I would have to say that imported silhouette has a tendency to look super imposed and divorced from the background ( no matter how well you use it..the edges are always too clean and distinct) The scale of the respective groupings doesn't quite work for me ...although I understand the reasons for it.

I really like the concept though and wish you all the best in pursuing it.

Hi, Sharon. Thanks much for viewing and commenting. Interestingly, this was not a composite. I hung about watching the position of the grandpa and little girl for about 20 minutes (trying not to look too creepy) till they got into the right place.

What I did do in PP was to darken the edges of the rabbits (not the people), as I was getting a lot of sun flare "pollution". I don't have a copy of the original so I'm including another shot I took a few minutes later so you can see what I referred to. Regardless, paying more attention in the future to not overdoing refining the edges is a lesson you've taught me, and I'm grateful for the insight.

You seem to have two threads with the same name running. I was wondering where my comment had gone when I realised I has posted it here.

Sorry bout that. When I originally posted, it didn't appear for some time and I thought it was lost in cyberspace, so I reated the posting and they both showed up, and I couldn't delete either of them for some reason (don't know why, I've done it before).
    Sorry for the confusion.

Wait ! I suddenly remembered those cylinders of cut-outs on a lamp.

When I was little I was entranced by this. x

Thanks again, Sharon. That is SOOC, haven't touched it. I'll process with a gentle touch aimed at retaining the original edges.

Thanks, Arlen. No creativity in it, though- just waited for the girl to walk around into the right place.
