Wow, that colour is fab - what variety is it ? I haven't seen one in the UK with a purple centre.

Rudbeckia Fulgida. A little smaller than most & will bloom from now through October.

Beautiful color. I like your depth of field. My eye goes right to the purple. The out-of-focus pedals do not detract at all, IMO. Good job.

Do you have a sub variety name too - all the fulgida's I've looked at here so far have a black centre.......I'd love one in my garden with the purple centre.

Kaye here is a link to a garden site featuring this Rudbeckia

The center only is purple in the early blooming stage, it turns darker as it blooms

Happy I could help you Kaye. One thing to note, these plants seed all over the place, so unless you want a million of them, make sure to cut them down after bloom.
