Sunight on Water (B&W)
On the way back from a recent hike I couldn't help but notice the patterns created on the water by the sunlight filtering through the clouds.
I am looking forward to your overall impressions.
I opted to have no true black in the image as that adjustment made the whole scene look dark and stormy which it definitely was not...

I like the tones and expansiveness. I'm not sure I would know it is water if you hadn't mentioned it. I'm also not sure that matters.

Re: Sunight on Water (B&W)
I struggled with the framing of this as I wanted the eye to leisurely move around the image view of the image in its entirety as almost a meditation versus something with a defined focal point. I love that the horizon on this shot it almost invisible and purposely put it in the middle of the composition. With that being said, I wonder if cropping out some of the bright water in the lower part of the frame improves the overall image?
Thank you Mike & Christina for taking the time to comment.

I like it just as is, but it also seems to work well with your crop. Maybe you can darken the small bright bit, but I like it as is.

Very nice and like Mike I'm not sure i would have known it is water - but it doesn't matter.
