I will try to submit some later this evening or tomorrow. I do know thru my own research living in Utah that in order to have great colors in sunsets we need lots of haze in the valley. Usually sunsets in northern Utah are best seen in summer as the haze sits in the hot weather. That's probably true for many other urban areas with surrounding mountains.

In the area I live by the great salt lake there can be up to 3 color peaks within 15 minutes. One 5-10 minutes before the horizon, one at the horizon and about 5-10 minutes below the horizon.

Some of the best sunsets in Utah are also seen when there are thunderstorms east of the setting sun.

I would like to add to a worthwhile cause. I use the Program The Photographers Emphemeris to help determine prior to driving, where the sun will be.

PS Did you adjust the white balance of the photo? Are these the colors of the sky when you took the photo?

Lake Atsion is at 39°44'26.68"N, 74°43'35.57"W. I suppose the nearest city would be Hammonto, N.J. The picture was taken on 25 Sept 2013 at 6:55PM EDT.
