Questions for New Canon 5D Owners (Upgrading from 20D)

A couple of quick questions for first owners of the Canon 5D....

    1) Have you found the 5D to be noticeably superior to the 20D in general and more specifically, for long exposure work?

    2) Have you found the 24-105 mm f/4L camera lens to be acceptable on the 5D?

    3) Are you metering with a handheld meter?

Not really, but there certainly is a difference. Extreme long exposure work is probably better on the 20D though because of the decreased DOF on the 5D. I do not mind the longer exposure times though...

Have you found the 24-105 mm f/4L camera lens to be acceptable on the 5D?
Yes, it is a great walk-around lens. For people shots and photojournalism events though I would get an f/2.8 lens with less vignetting wide open.

Are you metering with a handheld meter?
Just the in-camera meter, then I multiply up if the exposure required is longer than 30 seconds
