    A Love for Life

A shot of a flower using the Canon 100mm macro lens.
    Any comments?
    Thanks

    Hi Hatem,
I'm watching you picture on a cheap office monitor, anyway I think that I can say
this one has good colors, light and mood,
but in my humble opinion the the pink flowers are too blurred: a deeper DoF and the focus point close to one of the pink flowers may help to lead the attention of the viewer on the subject.
Also the blue area on the top is a bit distracting.
    Hope this helps

    Nicola

Hatem, I will have to agree with Nicola, I just can't seem to find anything that's in focus.

Thank you guys, this was really helpful
I don't use the 100mm macro a lot, but I will definitely put these points into consideration!

It was another flower & it obviously didn't serve any good purpose
Your tips were helpful, thank you!

    Hi Hatem,

Welcome to the CiC forums from me.

My tip would be to watch your exposure with subjects like this, especially when sunlit.

It is very easy to blow one or more colour channels, here the red, and moreso the blue, were close to this.

Can you tell us the shooting settings; aperture, shutter speed and iso?

    Thanks,

Hi Hatem, good colours but the image is a bit soft. Perhaps there was a bit of breeze around moving the flower around which contributed to this.
Try a faster shutter speed and raise the iso to compensate.
Also a tripod for macro work will help you capture sharp images.
    Cheers, Greg
