    Shoes

Another long hot day in the shoe stall, with no sales imminent:

    That's a lot of shoes!

Lovely study of time just passing.

I'm amused by the vendor's lack of shoes. Seems like a vote of no confidence in his own wares. I like it, but I think there's a little motion blur in the gent's face - shelves in front of and behind him are tack-sharp. How high was your shutter speed?

    Thanks Donald

Thanks Lex - glad you picked up on his lack of shoes! I was shooting at 1/100th and f11, at ISO 2800, which is really pushing it for a vintage D90!

I had a couple of shots in the burst, and the first was looking at me which I discarded - they may have been a slight amount of movement in this shot. Considering the ISO I'm not too concerned though

Phil, great image. Love the fact that he's not wearing anything on his feet.

Phil, Just a note to say I adore this image... I don't think I've commented on your images before but they are all very evocative and stunningly gorgeous.. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Karm and Christina - all comments, positive or negative, are more than welcome!

Whenever I see these pointy shoes now I think of the latest David Guetta/Akon music video - bonkers!!!

Those shoes are beautiful. I've seen some of them with colorful and artistic styles.

Maybe we can see them in color sometime.

Here's the colour version - colours didn't hold up too badly considering the ISO

    Re: Shoes

Phil, I like both versions, color and B/W. I think the color version is refreshing because the last time I was in Dubai I remember a lot of White buildings. Of course that was in the late 1990's I'm sure it's changed.:
