    African Open-billed storks

I have been trying to work up some old jpegs. Although these storks roost in trees, they are normally found on the ground around water, so it was nice to catch a couple from a different angle. The perspective is a bit confusing, they are actually the same size.

If you are interested in birds, you can see that the nearer bird does not in fact have an open bill, because it's a juvenile - which contrasts with the adult further away. I think it's the only image I have that shows this so clearly.

Any comment very welcome, of course.

Dave I can't see your image - just a little blue square with a question mark.

That's strange. I can see it on my desk top and my tablet, and I used Tinypic in the usual way. Help! Can anyone else see it? Before I try to re-pot. (I can see it but it's rubbish is acceptable )

Thanks, folks, this is rather strange. I could see it on my tablet half an hour ago, but it's now disappeared. I can still see it on my desk top.

I'm going to try reposting (though in truth, I think it's an interesting picture but not great photography!) I'll try "go advanced"

Would be grateful to know if it's visible,

Yes I can see it now Dave. They are certainly interesting birds and I like the way you've captured them.

Dave, I see the pic. That's an impressive bird! Photo seems a bit noisy (ISO noise), but still good. Also looks like you were battling some contrasty sunlight, but exposure is good under the circumstances. I personally find the perch / tree to be distracting me from the birds, but there's not much you can do about it. Thanks for sharing this cool photo. (note to self: yet another reason to go to Africa some day)
