I like it very much, and I like the Orton. The Orton effect might have suffered the same fate as HDR with heavy tone-mapping, but seems not to have been so over-used and overdone. You have accomplished it very subtly and elegantly.
Cheers kevin.
Steve, nice image.
karm
Cheers John, it is sort of Orton, if I use the same principles but diluted, to me it is still Orton.
Cheers Karm, I like it.
Cheers John, cheers Karm, it's nice to know people like it.
Hi,
Wonderful
Thanks Radu.
Love little industrial train very nice shot indeed.
was it taken at the Midland Railway Museum?
Yes Glenn, Butterley station.
Hi Steve,
I like what you have done with this.
I have one quandary; I cannot decide whether the guy in background (on left) adds anything to the shot.
If he were facing out of shot, I would definitely suggest a bit of cloning to remove him, but as he is, he almost directs one's gaze back to the train.
Cheers,
Cheers Dave, I didn't know it was a guy but it could be, there is a level crossing there leading to a reservoir .
Priceless
Cheers Bob
