    Two monochromes made as a pair

    I made this pair of images with the idea of displaying them on top of each other. It doesn't matter to me whether people see them as abstracts or realism. For me, it's the shapes and patterns that are appealing.

    EDIT: I have now made a second pair of the same subjects using the same lighting and post-processing.

    Mike, I like the high key approach you have. The glassware adds a sharp contrast.

    Thanks, Bruce. I used much more contrast than usual to emphasize the dark and bright tones, paying far less attention to the mid tones than usual.
