    After four years...

finally I got the first flower from the Albizia Julibrissin in my garden!
In 2009 it was a 10 cm tall and fragile creature, today it's an elegant 3m tall tree, offering to our sight this kind of gifts
This is a flower that I really love.
    C&C welcome

Nice flower. Your subject IMHO appears to be competing with to many other elements in this photo. You may want to take this picture from another angle.

A slightly tighter crop with a different image size ratio would help to reduce the background distraction.

Sometimes, with real life shots, that ideal angle just isn't possible so it has to be a case of attempting to mitigate any conflicting elements.

Why not try shooting some mottled green background shots, printing out at say A3 or getting a mottled green cloth on a frame and placing behind your subject.

    Thank you all,
I agree with your comments, I was already aware that the background is too busy.
The main problem of trying different angles was that the flowers are quite high, at the top the tree canopy. I could try using a stair...
The idea of Ian sounds interesting, I will try.

The trouble with using a step ladder is that there is always a temptation to move back just a little!

I do have some printed backgrounds which I use when taking 'studio shots' under controlled conditions. But getting it to look natural outside can be difficult.

If you do print some backgrounds, use matte paper, gloss finish doesn't look right.

    Hi Giacomo,

Ignoring the distracting background, looks like a fair bit of camera shake there or missed focus. The flower's not sharp...
