Always fly a flag

The gals that live next to me are in their 80s and have been a part of the neighborhood for over 50 years. They always fly a flag. A little bit of neighborhood, patriotic, street photography on this eve of the US Fourth of July holiday.

I was looking across the yard and saw how the flag was being framed by the various surrounding elements. I like its simplicity.

I like its simplicity.

Simplicity invariably works best. This is, I think, a very pleasing image. It quietly and unobtrusively gives as a window into life on one community.
