Adding a line between the pics would improve the presentation somewhat....

Though they are all similarly processed, I prefer #3 as the subject and the surroundings balance each other. The others not so much.

#1 and #2 need a "footing", whereas #4 could do with a bit more room at top.

I'm not against HDR and quite like some but somehow it never sits right for me when it comes to nature i.e. greenery. So No. 1 is OK but I'm not sure about the rest. However that I guess is no more than personal choice so don't be put off.

Hi Splashy. (That can't be a real name, can it?)

#1 (at top) is a fascinating image. Looks like a discarded robot.

#2 does not invoke anything in me. It's just looking up at a machine moving a scrap car onto something.

#3 is an interesting scene of an old truck left to decay and overgrown with weeds. The yellow color makes the truck stand out and it is the first thing the eye goes to.

#4 is another nice image. It looks like a hoarder's back yard. Don't know where you live, but in the US we have a TV show called American Pickers who go anywhere in the country to find interesting and unusual objects to buy and resell in their store. This place reminds me of some of the locations visited by the pickers.

All of your images are very saturated, but I like that treatment for this subject because all they really grab the viewer's attention.

Thank you for your comment, I know the American Pickers series and in fact I often search for places like that to make pictures.

#2 is who is killing who, because they are both broken.
But you are very right, I cropped to much making the picture.

The place is some kind of a scrapheap where you can make art out of the different products .

Actually I'm not so keen on super HDR and I was looking how far was acceptable.
As is written above the green is over saturated.

Is it just me or does it look like there is some sort of "spaceman", "robot", hiding at the corner of the building in #1? Now that's what I call a "cool composition of junk".--mary
