Benjy, there is no image showing here
Greg,I tried to delete post as there were no critique after quite a while ....thanks for letting me know about image...
Hi Bernard,
No C&C, come on everyone that's what we are here for; too help?
A few thing came to mind when I saw this shot which I will list in the order I see them; hope that's OK
1. The picture looks very dark on my screen. IMHO it could do with a little adjustment in PP
2. The picture leaf's twigs etc make the overall picture very 'Busy'
3. The bird is quiet small in the frame; I would consider cropping tighter on the bird.
4. I would (you might disagree) clone out the twigs & leafs covering part of the birds body
But what I must comment on is, I've never see this type of bird (colour) before.
Hope this helps
John
Hi Bernard,
I agree with John... the background overwhelms the small bird in the 1st photo... The 2nd photo is much better in terms of lighting, composition, and background.
Indeed it looks like a special bird...
Hi Bejy, I too agree with John's comments. Although I understand when you see something rare like this, you just have to grab whatever shot is on offer. The second one is much better.
Ladies first, Christina ,John,Greg,Thank for viewing and comments....
I agree with the comments about the 1st photo, cropping closer and doing some cloning will make it less busy. With the 2nd photo your frame (composition), could have room ahead of the bird leading the viewer and subject out of the piece. Also lighten the 1st and darken the 2nd.
Ok I hope I didn't oblige to your request for critique a little to much, sorry if so.
I see this bird in its original color a lot here in northern Ontario, Canada. have you seen this white version more then once?
Hi Cisher, thanks for your comments/critique everything helps me on my photographic journey, yes I have seen this bird quite a few times, last time just before taking the first photo<the one in bushes>one of the blackbirds had a few goes at him, thanks again
