    Keep your distance

A mother goose and her brood. This was a fortuitous capture as I was walking along a bike path and they seemed unconcerned about the cyclists and walkers. Naturally, the chicks were oblivious.

Jim, the adult looks good in this capture but the goslings are somewhat lost from view. Other viewers might like the effect, but I would have preferred greater depth of field, perhaps by increasing ISO to be able to use a smaller aperture while keeping a good shutter speed. If it were mine, I would also want to tone down the yellow glare and crop/clone out the clipped chick at bottom left. Just my opinions, of course, e.g. -

Nice shots. I did something similar recently and had the same issue as Philip pointed out. The adults stood out perfectly but the youngsters blended in so well with the ground that it was difficult to get good detail.
