    SUSAN!

Where is that tree? I guess we know who will survive climate change!

I wanna who is living in the dark places created by the roots --gnomes? Too small for hobbits.

Top shot Susan, great textures and colour. A strong image from something simple. Did you do much pp on it ?

Hi Gretchen - the tree is in the Adirondacks - on a rock formation along the Ausable River. Glad you think of hobbits and gnomes!

Thanks a lot Dave, just a little PP (straightening, presence, and medium contrast in the tone curve) in Lightroom - here's the original:

Susan, great shot of one of nature's wonders. The roots of trees really amaze me and this one without a doubt. Your SOOC shot was so well taken it didn't require much to get the final result.

Well done and fascinating to see.

Great shot, Susan. It kind of reminds me of a giant squid.

I like these photos very much - the energy, the sympathy. But you know, hobbits would never be able to live there - they like comfort, warmth & somewhere to store the makings for 2nd, 3rd & other breakfasts. Not to mention cake for tea. It's different when they are hiding from Sauron's minions.
    Just had to say

Sergio, Greg, Ken, and Pania - Thanks very much for looking and for the nice comments.

Greg - I like your signature - might as well take some pictures!
