    An Owl and a Squirrel...

I captured these last Saturday morning during my walkabout at a nearby nature reserve. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Yes, very good.

Maybe with #1 the sharply focused bit of foliage in the top right corner is slightly distracting. But it doesn't really bother me too much.

Excellent captures all but of course the squirrel is no match for an owl shot.

Hello Geoff, thank you for your comment and observation. I agree it is distracting, I will clone it out. That is why I post, another set of eyes seeing what I may miss.

Really great. Sharpness, color, composition. Like so many of yours these remind me of how much I have to learn.

Beautiful captures, Joe. The expression in Number 2 almost looks like he is happy, if that is possible for an owl. How do you manage to find them in the middle of the day?

I like the #3 of both the owl and squirril the best. Best composition and background in those IMHO.

Hello Mark, thank you for your comments. The best suggestion I offer would be to get close, not always possible I know.

Hello Suzan, thank you for viewing and commenting. These were shot early to mid morning. In Florida this time of year the afternoons are too hot to be outside so most things are done early morning.
